Its really a 'night and day' difference between the 2 shocks, bearing in mind the frame is the same except for a taper headtube on the 2010 I have just made the switch from a 2009 DHX 5 Air shock on a 2009 Devinci hectik (FSR)Ģ010 RP23 XV BV shock on a 2010 Devinci Hectik

The Float (RP2, RP3, RP23, etc.) series has often been considered superior to the DHX Air by many magazine / website testers and ridersĭHX Air is 'old' technology, and was introduced as a weight saving measure for bikes with longer stroke shocks and mid to long travel leverage ratios I like my DHX 5, but if there is something better out there - I'd consider it. So if I could sidetrack this for just a moment? How does the DHX Air work, bandit? Is it like the RP3, or is it like the RP23 BV?
